The Firefox D-Chat extension allows people to chat with other people being on the same domain at the same time.

A good point is that you can then be sure that these people share the same centers of interest as you.

This system can be a good added value for an artistic website where the artist / author could chat live with its visitors.

Here is approximately what it looks like

General Informations :

• The only way to be seen on a channel is to be connected AND to open the chatbox.
• NO other information but your login and your last logging datetime is recorded.
  ( no IP address recorded )
• You left NO TRACE on a channel if you write NOTHING.
• ALL chat message older than 24h are purged.

In one word : AVOID excessive paranoia; if you have a single doubt don't even ask me anything, just don't use the chat and uninstall the extension. that's all.

This extension is completely free and will be free forever.
Anyway its developement required a lot of time ...
